Hey everyone, so this week I decided to talk about Christmas because while I realize that the Christmas season is over, that doesn’t mean that we just have to stop having the Christmas spirits in our hearts. Which unfortunately happens to a lot of people some people don’t even have the Christmas spirit in them… Myself included at times because of some stuff that’s been happening these past few years. Something that my parents asked me when I was 12 or 13 at the time was. If your friends jumped off of a bridge would you do it as well? Which looking back is a good question. Back then I probably would of because I was pretty sassy back then and still am sometimes but I’ve learned that while it can be fun to be sassy it isn’t always the wisest decision even when it’s tempting to. My 1st point is that while it sounds like fun to do something that requires taking risks, it isn’t always the wisest decision. Which I’ve had to learn the hard way quite a few times to where when I was 15 and 16 I sprained my knee a few too many times to where I have to wear a knee brace sometimes. My 2nd point is that while it is god to make wise decisions sometimes you just need to let loose and have some fun even if it involves hurting a few bones or making silly faces one thing that I really like doing sometimes is sticking my tongue out occasionally. Matthew 1:21 says;” She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus,[a] because he will save his people from their sins.” Christ came down to this earth to save us from our sins which from what I’ve seen both in the news and in my own life sin can be very complicated. But just because you did something really bad or even something minor doesn’t mean that you can’t be forgiven. There are plenty of people that both have had to ask me for my forgiveness and that I’ve had to ask for forgiveness as well. Which forgiveness can be very complicated this year I’ve had to learn to both be kind to myself as I’m trying to forgive some people that I thought were my close friends while I was away at school and 1 that I dated. I’ve also had to learn to be patient because yeah life can suck at times but life can also be very exciting! Romans 15:13 says;”May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Did you catch that? May the God of HOPE fill you with all JOY and PEACE as you trust in him. I know that can be hard to have joy and peace at times but that doesn’t mean that it isn’t possible because in Christ everything is possible. I’m going to finish this blog post by challenging you to be hopeful and know that yeah life is hard but it doesn’t mean that life isn’t possible! As always, if you have any prayer requests, questions or just need someone to talk to feel free to message me or comment below! Thanks for reading! 😊
