Hey Everyone, So I decided to write about encouragement through worship partly because lately I’ve seen a lot of negativity on social media because of all the things going on in this world especially about the corona virus which is pretty crazy and is affecting a lot of people my family included because people are either getting laid off or having to work from home during this crazy time. But also, because it really seems like everyone could use some encouragement through this crazy time. Something that I’ve kept in mind is that yeah this corona virus is affecting everyone that doesn’t mean that it should control your whole life because in life there’s a season for everything, there’s a season for joy, hurting and a season for resting in Christ which a lot of people don’t always do. John 4:24 says;” God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.” Did you catch that? God is spirit and we must worship God with our WHOLE hearts not halfhearted WHOLE hearted no matter what life throws at us! Which I know is something that everyone does at one point or another in their lives or all their lives. Something that I wrote down in my church notes last year when I was going to the Bridge church in Ottumwa, Iowa is that sometimes you just need to push and I’m not talking about physically. I’m talking about spiritually what it means to push is to: Pray Until Something Happens. Which is what praying with your whole heart means. I know there’s a lot of people that believe that you should only pray when your alone and while it is important to pray by yourself, it’s also important to pray with other people as well because prayer can be very healing as well as create community between people. Exodus 23:25-26 says;” Worship the Lord your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you, and none will miscarry or be barren in your land. I will give you a full life span.” God will take care of us no matter what happens one of the ways he does that is by providing us with food, water and friends which I know from personal experience that friends can help you through a lot which is honestly why I’m very thankful for the friends that I have both past and present! Jeremiah 29:11-13 says;” For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and pray to me and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” God also takes care of us by knowing what we will do with our lives which I know at times can be scary these past few weeks I’ve been thinking about what I’m going to do with my life a lot and keep on reminding myself that I’ll be ok no matter how much Satan keeps on telling me that I should panic which it seems like there’s a lot of people that are panicking these days with this corona virus going around which I know is scary especially for people that have health issues already. But it doesn’t mean that we should let the devil win if anything we should stay positive through all this because yeah, this corona virus is scary but fear doesn’t control your life God controls your life if you let him. As I finish this post I just want to challenge you to live life to the fullest even with everything going on even if it means doing random silly faces and know that this is just a season and that with every season there’s a ending! As always if you need someone to talk to feel free to message me or even if you have a prayer request or any questions feel free to message me or comment below. Thanks for reading!
