Hey everyone,so I decided to write about the power of forgiveness because forgiveness is something that everyone including myself struggles with. Isaiah 53:5 says;”But he was pierced for our transgressions, the punishment that brought us peace was on him and by his wounds we are healed.” I know that people can say and do some pretty hurtful things to where last September my ex-boyfriend and I broke up and once I was back from my last college retreat I was in my room a lot and was very quiet and even though that happened. I know that I’m going to be okay. My point is even though bad things happen it doesn’t mean that you should let life drag you down including people that hurt you. Because if you don’t forgive that person it will only hurt you more. Matthew 18:21-22 says;”Then Peter came to Jesus and asked”Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me?”Jesus answered,I tell you not seven times, but seventy-seven times.” I understand that forgiveness is hard and that even when you do forgive that person it takes some time to truly get over what that person did to you. But it is possible you just need to be patient with yourself and not worry about what other people think of you. Something that I’ve done when I need to forgive someone is write a letter to that person but never send it. Because writting a letter can help you both forgive that person and help you realize how you feel about the situation. It can also be very healing if you have things that you need to say to that person but never got a chance to say those things to that person. As I close, I just want to challenge you to really take what I said to heart and that if you need someone to talk to I’m always here for you because forgiveness and life in general is hard. As always, if you have any questions, prayer requests and or need someone to talk to feel free to comment below, message me on facebook or e-mail me at Homeschoolgradblog@gmail.com. Thanks for reading! :)
