Diversity

Hey everyone, so I decided to talk about diversity this week because there’s way too much diversity between black lives matter, COVID, Christianity and just the world in general. Take black lives matter for example while I understand that what the police officer did was wrong that doesn’t mean that all police officers are bad because not all police officers are bad in fact I know of a lot of friends and family who are very good people. This is going to be a long blog post so curl up in your favorite blanket, make your favorite drink and enjoy but also learn from what I have to say.  One way that you can help solve diversity is by just spending time with friends and family despite difference’s because something that I’ve notice both growing up even now as an adult is that people are way too judgmental of color, how someone was raised or even just how that person is which is just wrong! I mean just because someone is different than you don’t mean that he or she should be judged or even treated differently! Some verses that is a great example of how people should be treated is Ephesians 4:2-6 which says;”. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.  There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.” This is exactly what I was talking about! Because while it’s good to be unique it’s also important to be unified. Which to me means that while I understand that everyone has their differences because that’s what makes us unique it doesn’t mean that anyone should be judged by how they look, were raised or even how they act which is honestly why while I agree that black lives matter that doesn’t mean that all police officers are bad just because of what one police officer did. Because say one of your friends did something bad. Does that mean that all of your friends are bad? No, it doesn’t it just means that we’re all human and when it comes to the police officer that killed an innocent man it sounds to me that he both needs to spend time in jail but also needs a major attitude adjustment.  Which honestly there’s a lot of people who do need a major attitude adjustment at one point in their life and I hope that the person that killed an innocent man realizes that what he did was wrong and in time apologizes because while it’ll take time for people to forgive him forgiveness is possible no matter how long it takes. Which is honestly why this world needs unity because while I realize that it’s easy to hold a grudge it’s even harder to let go of that grudge and forgive which is possible it just takes a lot of courage to do so. Which brings me to my next point. You need to have courage to bring unity to this world. Deuteronomy 31:6 says;” Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” You need to have courage to bring unity to this world because it can take a lot of guts to bring unity to this world which will not be done in just one-night because while there is a lot of unity in this world there’s also a lot of craziness in this world especially with religion because with religion there’s the question is God real? Or if God’s real then why doesn’t he do anything about the craziness of this world? Which with the question why doesn’t he do anything about the craziness of this world? That question is the reason that I believe that God still does miracles in this world along with the question.  Is God real? Because throughout my life I’ve seen miracles take place even in my own life because some of you may already know this a few years ago, I was driving in drivers ed and drove into a fire hydrant and stop sign which was scary but I thank God that there were no serious injuries with me or anyone that was in that car which there could have been some pretty major injuries the moment that it happened. That right there was a miracle and while it took a long time for me to emotionally recover from it something that has been helpful even throughout this year is to stay true to myself and not listen to what other people say about me or even when they ask me why I have speech issues which is something that I’ve struggled with my whole life to where I’ve been in and out of speech therapy since I was 1 year old when my mom first noticed that I have speech issues. That was almost 24 years ago and while I don’t have as much trouble with my speech as I did when I was a kid that is something that I struggle with sometimes and that’s okay because everyone has their struggles mine just happens to be speech. Life is full of up and downs and while I understand that it’s easy to be negative when life does get stressful that’s the moment that instead of feeling down you should do something that will boost your spirits for me whenever I feel down I either listen to Christmas music, talk to a good friend of mine about what’s going on, write out what I’m feeling or watch a funny movie or tv show all of which helps a lot! You can do that instead of complaining which I’ve noticed that a lot of people have a tendency to do instead of getting to the root of what’s causing them to be negative which is the main cause of diversity.  Not to say that diversity isn’t a bad thing because diversity can be a good thing too because it means that everyone is unique which can be a good thing but it can also be a bad thing it all depends on the person. Plus, if everyone was the same then this world would be full of robots and not human beings which would be boring. Honestly when it comes to diversity it depends on the person because while some people do get along there are some people that don’t get along because either their personalities are too different or something happens and they decide not to be friends. As I close, I want to challenge you to always try to find the best in people.
