Lessons from 2020

Hey everyone, Happy new year! I know it’s been a while since I’ve written on here life has been crazy, so I haven’t really had the time to write on here. I decided to write about lessons from 2020 because 2020 was just crazy and I’ve seen a lot of people say that their glad that 2020 is over which is understandable because there was a lot of people that lost loved ones because of COVID and there was also a lot of crazy stuff that happened and you know what that’s okay. Because life is crazy and sometimes all you can do is cry.  Some verses that have helped me through life and I hope these verses help you through life as well are. Psalms 23:1-3;” The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake.” I know last year was crazy, but you know what? Life wasn’t meant to be normal. Growing up my mom always said that normal is just a setting on the washing machine. Which she’s right and 2020 proved it which brings me to one of the lessons that 2020 taught me which is that life can change when you least expect it to and while I realize that corona is still affecting a lot of people right now it’s only a season and like all seasons it’ll come to a end eventually you just need to be patient and let God lead your life. Because he knows what’s best for you and when this whole COVID virus will come to an end all of us just need to be patient and just go with the flow. Which I know for me can be hard when it feels like everything is going 100 miles an hour it feels like. Which is why it’s important to practice self-care even if it’s just listening to music while your working that’s what I’m doing right now as I’m working on this blog post. The main thing with self-care is just making sure that you don’t get burned out. A great verse to keep in mind when it comes to self-love is Psalms 139:14;” I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” Did you catch that? You are fearfully and wonderfully made! I know 2020 was hard for everyone and that’s okay because life wasn’t meant to be easy. You were made for a purpose and even if you don’t know that purpose yet in time you will in God’s timing! The biggest lessons that I learned from 2020 is to be patient with myself and other people and to trust God with my whole heart.  As I close, I just want to challenge you to reach out to at least 2 people that you haven’t talked to in a month or more.
