Resting in Christ part 1

So, the next I think 2 weeks maybe longer I’m not really sure I’ll be doing a series on resting in Christ partly because that’s what I feel the strongest on doing. But also, because I feel like everyone could use a reminder to rest in the midst of this crazy world that we live in. Psalms 23:1-3 says;” The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul.” I hope these verses encourage you in whatever life is throwing at you. Some ways that you can rest in Christ even in the midst of crazy schedules is by listening to Christian music while you’re getting ready for the day even staying in bed a few extra minutes and just do nothing. Something that I really enjoy doing is listening to music as much as I can that’s something that I do almost every time my anxiety is going crazy either that or texting a friend both of which are really good ways of combating both stress and anxiety. Along with memorizing Jeremiah 29:11;” For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” This verse can help because it can give you a peace of mind that God has a plan for you no matter what happens. For me personally, life has been stressful lately to put it mildly with different work stuff along with family and just life in general and this verse has helped me know that even though life is stressful right now it’s just a season and like all seasons this season will end eventually even if it takes some time. Maybe you’re in the same or similar season I’m in. I just want to encourage you that while life might be stressful right now God has a plan for you and whatever you’re going through is part of it you just need to breathe and know that God will strengthen you even in the craziest of storms. Psalms 119:28 says;” My soul is weary with sorrow; strengthen me according to your word.” God strengthens you through his word. I know life is stressful but 1 part in your life that will never be stressful is your relationship with Christ because you can ALWAYS lean on him because he is your rock even in the craziest of times no matter what happens in your life. Whether your boyfriend or girlfriend dumped you, your battling health issues, you found out that someone that you trusted betrayed you anything! All of which do hurt. Maybe you’re in that position life is just really crazy right now. Well, I just want to encourage you that even though life is crazy right now it’s all part of an even bigger plan that God has for your life. Jeremiah 29:11;”For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” This is exactly what I was saying! Maybe your still healing from what life has thrown at you. I just want to tell you that the healing process is different for everyone and as this series continues, I’ll be talking about that. As I close the first part of this series, I just want to encourage you to rest in Christ because he really does care about you! As always, if you ever want to talk, have any prayer requests, or questions feel free to comment below, message me on Facebook at homeschool grad blog  or email me at Homeschoolgradblog@gmail.com.
