Evangelism

Hey everyone, this week I’ll be talking about evangelism partly because during baptisms at my church this morning that idea popped into my head but also because I feel like that’s what I need to talk about this week which will include some parts of my life that I’ve never really talked about very much over the years. Some of you that know me know that growing up I went to occupational, speech and physical therapy because I had a lot of speech issues because I didn’t start talking until I was 5 or 6, occupational and physical because I had trouble with stuff like playing with blocks, writing stuff like that but something that I haven’t really mentioned before is that I also went to a therapist some as well because I had a hard time socializing there are still times that I have a hard time with that stuff not as writing anymore but I still have issues with speech sometimes especially when my anxiety is going crazy or I haven’t been drinking enough water. The therapy stuff went on until I was 14 and now looking back. None of that was a bad thing it just makes me unique which in a way everyone is unique and has their own struggles that’s what makes us human. Because we all have a story to share even if it takes some time to share some of those parts. I didn’t really talk about the therapist part not because I was ashamed of it. I was just incredibly nervous about sharing it. Because that’s a part of my life that only a few people know about. Maybe that’s how it is for you. You’ve shared some parts of your life story but there are still parts that you haven’t had the courage to. I just want to encourage you that God will show you when it’s the right time to do that. Joshua 1:9 says;”Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Just like this verse talks about God will be with you always including when life is stressful. Which growing up there were times that I just wanted to stop stuttering or wished that people would understand what I’m saying there’s still times that I wish that that weren’t the case occasionally when it does happen at work. Maybe that’s the case with you there are things that you struggle with both at work or school or both and just life in general. Well, I’m here to tell you that what makes you weak can make you strong in Christ and you can use that in your testimony or life story both mean the same. I know life can be crazy this past week was both crazy and stressful because of stuff both at work and home to where today as I’m writing this, I’m still pretty worn out both emotionally and physically because life has thrown me a lot of curve balls that I didn’t expect recently. Something that life has taught me is that it’s up to you on if you let Satan make you weaker or let God make you stronger. Because if you let him Satan will make you weaker but just like Joshua 1:9 talks about God will be you through life and because of that there’s no reason to be afraid when life throws you curve balls. Plus, the fact that you can use your story to lead people to Christ. Which is where the great commission comes in. Matthew 28:16-20 says;” Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely, I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” This is exactly what I was talking about! Part of evangelizing is reaching out to people both through your life story and just getting to know them because life is crazy and having friends can definitely help in a big way! That’s honestly why I’m very thankful for the amazing support system I have through my church family and if you don’t have that I strongly encourage you to find a church near you that has that because it can help you through life and if you haven’t given your life to Christ I strongly encourage you to do that because Christ can help you through a lot honestly, if it wasn’t for Christ I would probably be stressed out still and wouldn’t know what to about it. If you don’t know how to do that feel free to comment below or message me and I’ll help you through that including if you want to video chat with me. As I close, I just want to challenge you to follow God’s will for your life no matter where that leads you. As always, if you want to talk, have any questions, prayer requests feel free to comment below or message me or email me at Homeschoolgradblog@gmail.com. Have a great day and week. Thanks for reading!
