Finding faith in scars

Hey everyone, so this week I’ll be talking about finding faith in scars because everyone has scars including myself and there are times that you don’t always know how to deal with those scars every day so my goal for this blog post is to help you learn how to deal with them in a way that’s pleasing to God and helpful to you.

Isaiah 4:10 says;” So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Did you catch that?” Do not fear for I am with you!” God will always be there for you even when life throws you curve balls.  Take a few weeks ago for example. Last week my Facebook account was hacked so I had to create a new account which led to some hard decisions 1 of which was whether or not I was going to contact my ex-boyfriend or just block him and I ended up blocking him the same night that I created the new Facebook account which was a very hard thing to do because I still have really good memories with him and there are times that I wish I could create more memories with him but at the same time I also know that what he did was wrong and it was for that reason that I blocked him and now it honestly feels like a big weight has been lifted off my shoulders just knowing that he doesn’t have a way to contact me anymore which he never did anyway and now I know I did the right thing. My point is sometimes when it comes to healing scars you have to make hard decisions that are best for you including sometimes banning certain people from your life.

 2 Corinthians 12:8-10 (NIV) says;” Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take away from me. But he said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness, “Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”  Even when you are going through a hard time you are strong no matter what anyone tells you! Don’t let anyone define who you are or make decisions for you because depending on the decision it is wise to seek counsel especially if it’s a big decision. For me personally, whenever I have to make a big decision, I first pray about it then talk to a good friend about it then depending on the decision list pros and cons of the decision then if I feel like this is what God wants me to do or not do then I follow his lead. Because God should always come first over anyone and anything!

When you put God first life is a whole lot easier although honestly, life is a lot easier with God on your side just knowing that you’re not alone in this crazy roller coaster called life even if it doesn’t feel like that sometimes. Which is the 1 way you can find faith in your scars.

 Plus, the fact that God’s grace is enough when it comes to life in general! Because I don’t know about you but there are certain times throughout the week even that I’m very grateful for God’s grace especially with certain coworkers and customers because I work in the fast-food industry and that is not an easy task because there are times when I just want to quit my job but I know that this part of God’s plan for me and that this too shall end eventually so I stick it out no matter how hard it is sometimes if not all the time at times. Honestly, there are plenty of things in my life that I wish would end but I stick it out because what people “think will make me weaker” will actually make me stronger emotionally, physically, mentally, and spiritually. So you know what I’m going to pause for a second and I want you to say to yourself no one has control of me here on earth the only people that can control me is God and myself no one else!!!

It doesn’t matter what anyone says to you if it’s making you feel weak the only opinion that matters are those closest to you and God. God is 1 in your life!

As I close, I just want to challenge you to remember that the only opinion that matters is those closest to you, your opinion, and God’s opinion, and don’t let anyone tell you differently!
